A revitalized Medvedev claimed his maiden trophy for nearly 30 months with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.

Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging season, winning just one win at the Grand Slams and suffering a setback at the American major.

His varied form on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serve in specific - caused him dropping out of the world's top 10 and eventually splitting with long-term mentor Cervara.

Currently training with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually progressed in the past month - culminating in a closely contested three-set win over opponent Corentin Moutet.

This represents Medvedev's maiden title since the Italian tournament and initial on a hardcourt after that period of 2023.

Success also means he has secured twenty-one titles at 21 various events.

"It's the first time I am participating in a competition with my children at once, so to secure a title is especially meaningful," said ranked player Medvedev.

"This victory is in tribute of my child my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."

Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his past six title deciders, featuring in Halle in the past months.

Medvedev's retrieving play style and recurring reactions on court had caused some to wonder if his ability to play at the elite level was finished.

However the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, making an effort to advance forward and perform aggressively, supported by an better service.

He recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, taking four of the concluding five points to gain the advantage.

The pair swapped break points in the second set before Moutet, striving for his initial professional championship, seized the initiative to push for a decider.

The opponent rescued 4 initial chances in a tight third set before the Russian won the break to 15 to secure the win.

Fittingly, the winner earned the win with a point at the net, with Moutet unable to manage a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
